I was invited to participate in a special exhibition at Drexel University’s Pearlstein Gallery in June. I created a nine-piece work that’s painted by hand to commemorate the Stonewall riot in 1969. My goal was to replicate visually the experience of noise and chaos using words from both historical records and press accounts.
