Art as politics. Yes!

I’ve been working on several new pieces to address important issues like Trans Rights, censorship and being marginalized in the current state of America.

For most of these pieces, I’m interested in recycling material, like cardboard I find on the streets in interesting shapes, or even old wood that I can reclaim and paint into a statement about banned books or a screed about being a woman in America.

I collect a lot of flag and Jesus art for these projects.

The idea of maintaining sustainability in this ongoing series of “protest art” is part of the purpose.
