I was inspired to paint this brick on the anniversary of Stonewall, a touchstone in the modern American gay liberation movement. But rather than focus on the riot, I covered the brick with songs by disco diva Sylvester. I plan to create more of these for a series that can be stacked and played with like building blocks, but completely dedicated to LGBT culture.
