The original FUCK Plate was designed to be intact. But after an accident in my studio, I ended up with two halves of the plate, split in such a way that I decided it should be mounted on wood for the full effect. Fortunately, the collector was thrilled with the new development and purchased the plate even after the break. We both like to think it’s an even better piece now.
It was originally inspired by the frustrations I was and continue to feel about the world, the news and the political landscape. Looking back, I think the break was inevitable. Happy accidents, as Bob Ross always said.
